At Whistle Creek Pet Nutrition we've seen the difference excellence in nutrition makes in our animals lives as well as our own. Our Story -
Whistle Creek Pet Nutrition, LLC started as a passionate vision and desire to create wholesome, healthy, natural food for dogs and cats to enjoy, and is inspired by my own rescue dog of 6 years. I noticed it being exceedingly difficult to find pet food that are not made without the addition of dyes, colorings, fillers, preservatives, chemicals, that are many times difficult to pronounce and understand. I also noticed many pet food and pet treat recalls for many products, including many food options that are sourced and made outside of the USA. I about many large manufacturing companies that were using low quality animal feed grade ingredients and cooking them at extremely high temperatures leaving miniscule nutrient contents for our loved ones to thrive and flourish on. I knew if I could control the ingredients as well as the food creation process that I could have peace of mind of the finished product and overall quality and in doing so I could share my creations with the community. In addition to making & creating, I'm a small farmer myself and have the great joy & satisfaction of working with many other local Virginia farmers to bring you the freshest, purest, most sustainable and high quality ingredients available.
Whistle Creek Pet Nutrition believes in giving back to the community and helping animals in need, that's why we source locally as much as we can which helps our local communities and enjoy working with local rescue efforts across Virginia, our nation, and the world.
Our Mascot -
Seven years ago I rescued a beautiful Australian Cattle Dog "Shenzi" (named after one of the Hyenas on Lion King) from a local humane society along the east coast, and little did I know at the time, she'd touch my heart and change my life as I know it, forever. I believe that dogs, other animals, and nature are all great life teachers if we pay close attention. In more ways than one, Shenzi has in turn, rescued me and expressed true unconditional love & friendship. I'm on a mission to make a difference in our community & the world, one serving of pet nourishment at a time. Our slogan is, "Less Fuss, More Joy" because we believe its the simple joys in life that sometimes truly matter the most.
